Description: Miss Katie Brown is a beautiful young woman who in her mere 13 years knows the value of living a good life. She really knows how to live love and laugh. She is a bundle of wit, intellect and courage! Today was "Miss Katie Brown's Day". I was honored to serve as her host. She and her family toured the capitol, had a doughnut snack, pictures on the house floor, lunch in the legislative dining room and visited the NC State Fair. Katie and her family also spoke to me about the daily challenges that they face meeting her growing needs. More on this topic later. Enjoy the fun pictures!
